Charles Kim

Dr. Charles Kim is committed to creating an environment in which the patient is informed and empowered to play role in treatment decisions.
Raised in Houston, Dr. Kim received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley. He received his medical degree from Texas A&M School of Medicine and served as a Naval Flight Surgeon, caring for service members stationed in Japan and the West Coast. He was honorably discharged from the Navy at the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

Dr. Kim completed a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as Chief Resident, and completed a fellowship in orbital and oculoplastic surgery at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
In practice since 2008, Dr. Kim is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained orbital and oculoplastic surgeon specializing in plastic surgery of the face and eyelids, including reconstruction after Mohs surgery, traumatic injuries, and congenital deformities.
Dr. Kim is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Kim has been on the faculty and staff of several universities and Level-1 trauma centers, providing specialized surgical care and training for residents and medical students.
