Dr. Pirnazar was one of the first surgeons in California to perform laser assisted cataract surgery. He has been featured on the nationally broadcast show “The Doctors“ on CBS as well as “American Health Journal“ on PBS. Dr. Pirnazar is a board certified Ophthalmologist and received his medical degree with Honors from the University of Illinois, Chicago School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the prestigious Washington University in St. Louis, where he also served as Chief Director of the University Eye Service. He continued his education with fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery at the University of California, Irvine where he also served as an assistant professor for 10 years.
Dr. Pirnazar has published articles in respected journals, including American Journal of Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology Times. From 2017-2024, Dr. Pirnazar and his partners at NVISION were selected to be the team Ophthalmologists for the Los Angeles Chargers. Dr Pirnazar has performed LASIK on All Pro NFL players along with Lens Implant surgery on executives within the LA Chargers organization.
While he isn’t working, Dr. Pirnazar enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and his poodle Teddy. And of course watching NFL Football on Sundays.
