OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN(PART TIME)-ONTARIO
NVISION Ontario needs a part time tech for our fun, fast paced office! This role has the potential to grow to full time.
You will conduct the preliminary candidacy screening, education and follow up of potential patients. You will also complete all necessary work up including obtaining medical and surgical history, and the completion of all diagnostic testing. This position is also responsible for assisting the Physician in the exam lane by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities and Duties
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensures that all forms are complete and pertinent information has been recorded.
Able work up patients in a timely manner while providing an exceptional patient experience.
Performs deft in auto refractions, topographical mapping, wavefront analysis, lensometer, pachymeter and visual acuities.
Evaluates and measures pupil size and responses, general use of a slit lamp microscope, applanation tonometer and proper instillation of eye drops.
Understands and can utilize all testing equipment in the center.
Provides pre/post-operative care and instructions.
Stocks all medication and medical supplies by proactively planning work week to ensure completion of required tasks.
Orders all medical supplies.
Able to assist in other functional areas as needed
This position will also assist in our Murrieta location a few times per month
Qualifications and Skills
2+ years experience as Ophthalmology Technician
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Ability to travel to Murrieta location when requiredApply Now
